Job Description

Siemens Building Technologies is currently searching for an experienced Account Executive to sell Energy & Environmental Solutions, including but not limited to guaranteed savings projects, to new and existing customers throughout the Seattle market. This role will be based in our Issaquah, WA office and will focus on customers in K-12, higher education, healthcare, local and state government.

Responsibilities:
• Under general supervision, sells energy management products, services and business solutions that enable the customer to reduce energy and other operations expenditures.
• Maintain understanding of current financial analyses and financing methods; effectively communicates financial information to a variety of customer representatives
• Participates in development and communication of the following:
o utility data analysis,
o capital budget and deferred maintenance assessment;
o building surveys and needs assessment,
o financial justification of proposed solution
o and related proposals and presentations.
• Understands the performance contracting process and manages opportunities through development, contract execution, and construction
• Works with operations, finance, legal and other resources as needed in order to meet/exceed customer expectations for the project
• Actively manages relationships with existing customers through the performance period
• Ensures a smooth sales-to-operations turnover and monitors progress.
• Maintains excellent customer relationships; leads resolution of customer satisfaction issues as needed
• Prepares accurate and thorough sales activity reports via CRM and other tools; provides booking forecast reports and expense tracking.
• Actively participates in professional organizations relevant to the assigned vertical markets,
• Participates in, and occasionally leads, sales department meetings, workshops and seminars
• Maintains market business knowledge and product trends.
• Continues to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills.
• Develops and deploys account strategies.

Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering desired, however, a combination of experience and education (minimum requirement is a High school diploma or GED equivalent) will also be considered
• At least 5-7 (five to seven) years of experience with proven sales and account management skills required. (Customer relationships at this level are primarily C-level and solution-oriented — candidates who will be successful in this role must have proven experience executing strategic solution-oriented sales to top executives.). Energy & Environmental Solutions sales preferred, but will consider other professions which involve similar complex approaches such as selling custom IT or Financial solutions to the MUSH market (Municipal/Universities/Schools/Healthcare).

o Excellent verbal, written, organizational and negotiation skills necessary.
o Requires a medium level of related technical and financial expertise with an aptitude to learn and competently use company estimating tools as well as gain an understanding of related engineering, contractual, and financial concepts.
o Ability to work in the U.S. without a need for current or future sponsorship.
o Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
o Must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan and have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
